Dear Members

As of today no further messages will be coming through the listserv.

I know many of you subscribed here are not subscribed on the forums. I
encourage you to take a look. You can now browse the user forums without
registering. With the listserv being discontinued if you want to
continue to have mail delivered to your mailbox you'll need to register
onsite and subscribe to the forums of interest.

Recently we had a discussion on the Expresso Users forum online about
the decline in use of the listserv as of when the discussion forums had
search capability. We never expected that Peter's integration of a
search engine into eForum would limit the usefulness of this listserv.
The listserv has had problems with the reliability of its search
capability. Consequently the community voted on whether to keep the
listserv (using eForum Pro's new Voting integration).

The community decided that rather having two mediums for the same
purpose that we should discontinue the listserv which is not serving its
purpose as well as the forums online. The forums are proving far more
valuable with its online search capability and threading topic
capability. With the latest eForum release onsite attachments can be
included with a message, and features for hot the topic is,
voting on its usefulness, polling integration and subscribing to select
topics.

This move should also help as our email addresses are not available in
the forums so should help with spam.

For each project the forums are broken down into:
1. News forum: for announcements of new releases
2. Users forum: for user discussions - questions about features, how tos
each
3. Developers forum: for discussion pertaining to developers who are
contributing a patch or involving themselves in the feature enhancement
and bug fixes

Please take a online using the Forums link on the header or on any
project page. We look forward to seeing you online.

Again as of today no further messages will be coming through the
listserv.
