[Opensource] revert to hsql v1.61 ?

The current 5.3RC releases includes hsqldb.jar version 1.7.  I have had trouble with this, and reverting to v1.61 seems to fix the problems. I've used 1.61 for over a year--it has been solid.  Furthermore, the db for v1.6 is transparent text, while v1.7 is a binary format.

Mike R. and others, do you see a lot of benefit from v.1.7?

Can we revert?
