Hi All!

The Expresso Team is pleased to announce that the Expresso 5.0.4
distribution has been released. As this release takes care of a few
security holes, it is HIGHLY recommended that you update your 5.0 release
to this version.

There were several focuses in this release:

-Application Server Compatibility:
There are now updated instructions for JBoss, SunONE App Server,
SilverStream App Server, and Tomcat.

-IDE Compatibility:
There are now updated instructions for SunONE Community Edition, and IDEA.

-Bugfixes:
There have been over thirty bugfixes and performance improvements in this
release including some race conditions in DBObject and JobHandler, Fixes
for AutoDBObject and Checkboxes, and full support for Ranges including
security -based parsing and verification.

-Experimental New Features:
-Registration JSP was rewritten to fully support items such as checkboxes
in a way similar to DBMaint.
-Derivable Message Bundles: You no longer have to copy all messages from
base class controllers, only the messages you wish to change.
-Resent Email Validation: Sites running Registration Domains that use
email validation can have users request a resend of their email
validation. This helps in cases where mail servers have crashed and the
mail did not go through to the client.

As always, feedback is much appreciated!
						-Mike
