I'm pleased to announce that the Expresso project has been added to
RefactorIT's open source license.

RefactorIT is a software source code engineering tool with plugins for the
JBuilder, JDeveloper, Forte and Netbeans environment. It supports several
automatic refactorings as described in Martin Fowler's book "Refactoring,
Improving The Design Of Existing Code". Other features include generating
source code metrics, and providing static analysis of Java code.

Normally RefactorIT costs approximately $200 per developer, but in a
special agreement reached between the Expresso Development team and
RefactorIT, developers using the tool on Expresso source code can now use
RefactorIT for that purpose for free!

This is part of the "Open Source Community License", which RefactorIT
provides for "developers of Open Source projects which have an established,
vital, and active community."

The Open Source community license now provides for refactoring on all
classes in the com.jcorporate.expresso.* hierarchy. Plus it allows
developers to even work with up to 50 classes outside the Expresso hierachy.

Congratulations are in order to the Expresso developers who have helped
this project to sit side by side with famous projects such as Apache,
Mozilla, Antlr and JUnit; and a special thanks goes to the RefactorIT team
for supporting opensource communities such as Expresso.

More information on RefactorIT can be found at the company's website at:
