[Opensource] File not found error

When I try to start up the jboss server,i get the following message in the
console:
 Missing application web.xml, using defaults only

Iam able to access the login page of my application through the server.But
when I try to access the servlet,I get the following error:
The requested resource (/app1/Loginservlet) is not available.

I have defined the corresponding web-mappings in the web.xml file.

Can you please give me some help on this?
