[Opensource] Server dependant usergroups

I have installed a demo application using Expresso to two customers. Both 
customers don’t want to expose the administrative functionality on their 
public webservers. It should only be possible to log in as a Administrative 
user on webserver(s) inside the firewall. Has anyone got any idea on how to 
accomplish this?

Is there any filter functionality in Tomcat that can be used for this 
purpose?

Maybe I should extend the UserRoles table with a servertypeallowed field, 
put a servertype configuration value in the expresso-config and then change 
the logincontroller code to only allow login of users belonging to a group 
with a correct servertype.
