Tzanko,

Since you can use ActionForms, I don't see why you couldn't use the Struts 
validator if you needed to go that route.  I agree that Controller 
validation at this point is 'less than optimal' as-is.  I'm hanging out 
until JavaServerFaces gets further into the beta and then I'll be 
emulating/incorporating that spec into the form event cycle.
