[Opensource] Postings deleted

for any inconvenience.

In the past week the listserv has been bombarded with virus/spam. I tried to
keep up with moderating it - deleting more than 600 messages last thurs and
fri. When another 800 messages came through on the weekend I gave up. At the
end of yesterday, there were over 1200 messages. Needless to say the short
term solution was to delete all posted messages. 

The solution we are working on to prevent this from happening again is
getting a newer server which will have the appropriate filters in place to
safeguard this community. This is in process. We'll keep you posted.
