Hello Guanjun,
I'm not the best expert out there to answer about Expresso, but I can say
that it's bulletproof enough to use it in an enterprise environment. I
didn't use yet the Struts 1.1 version, but the 5.0.x with Struts 1.0 works
great. At the moment I'm working on a scientific project where I've to read
datasets of 12,000 lines and 45 columns from a database and send them via
SOAP to a statistical calculation system (R), and what we've been doing up
to now is rock-solid.
There is a great article by Peter Pilgrim walking through an example, which
is a very good introduction to Expresso, after reading it, the EDG is much
clearer. It's based on 4.0, but the principles will work. You can find it
in the documentation page, under the item "comunity contributed documents",
and it's title is "Best practices with Expresso using Struts".
You'll find it at:

hope this helps.
Regards

Hello Raul DAVIDOVICH ,
I am so surprised you can answer me,so rapidly .I'm a
beginner of Expresso ,and had just read through the
EDG of Expresso,I had so many question here ,the
Expresso it seemed to be so roughly that it lost the
expresso-config_4_0.dtd file in the
Expresso5.1_Struts1.1 EA2 version. I really will to
use Expresso as the architecture of my soft, but I
still had to ask me a question :if it is stablable
enough to work as a Enterprise architecture.
and I still find there is so little material to it .
I had difficult to master it rapidly ,can you
introduce me some valuable book or document about it .
I will appreciate you very much about it ,thank you
.
regards
Guanjun Li (a friend from China)

Hello,
I just took a look to the weblink you sent.
First, since it's already a part of Struts, and it has
no dependencies on other components, for us, at a
first time it would only mean to update the commons
and struts jars. Because of the way you're asking, I
believe none of these classes are directly used in
expresso.
Second, from what I could understand, we might be able
to use I18N codes from inside any component, not just
the web pages, like a DBObject or a Controller for
instance (please forgive my ignorance if it's already
the case). If it's the case, I think it would be
worthwile to adopt it, since it would ease up a lot
i18n use.
I cannot say much more, since most of the links on the
site are broken, and there's no doc at all.
