Thanks for your patience while we were updating the site. We are pleased
to announce that we have implemented a few major enhancements to the
http://www.jcorporate.com site.
On the site we are now running on Expresso 5.0.4 on a dedicated server.
In the updating, we transitioned from Expresso 4.0 to Expresso 5.0.4.
While more difficult that a simple transition to an updated version of
Expresso 4.x, the Expresso 5.0.4 has brought new features, an improved
user experience in the forums, and faster response times as well as some
bugs in 4.0.
Additionally, all of the applications such as eHelpdesk, and eContent
have been updated to take advantage of Expresso 5.0.4. The demos online
have also been updated.
Plus, http://www.jcorporate.com has migrated to a dedicated server. This
also is bringing faster speed. Now that we have moved to the new server
we have a few more improvements planned shortly including listservs for
cvs notifications and nightly builds.
*** One hickup in moving to the new server and that was for a couple
days the mail server wasn't yet configured and some folks REGISTERING
didn't get the email to verify their user account. If you didn't get
this email, there is now a link on the login page to resend the email
verification.
At this time I'd like to give special thanks to Michael Rimov and Dino
Dai for their considerable effort in facilitating the site updates and
server transition. Both of these folks are available for consulting via
JGroup in assisting with your own transition to 5.0x. Just contact us at
jgroup at jcorporate.com.
Thank you for supporting Expresso and our Open Source software movement.
As always, if you have a question or want to share feedback regarding
the site, please feel free to email me directly at scann at jcorporate.com
P.S. yes in case you are wondering Expresso 5.04 hasn't been released
yet - in fact it is getting a good testing onsite before release. It is
due out very shortly.
