[Followup] Re: [Opensource] DBMaint crashes the server

Hey all,

Well, I've been playing all afternoon with the profiler, running long term 
tests using JMeter in conjunction with OptimizeIT.  Ran for hours on both 
JDK 1.3.1 as well as JDK 1.4.1 with the OptimizeIT instrumentation installed.

Went to run it on JDK 1.4.1 straight with JMeter, got a lockup almost 
immediately.  Tried server Hotspot instead of client and got a JVM GPF 
instead.  So I believe we're definitely dealing with a HotSpot bug of some 
sort.

Over the next few days I'll be endeavoring to figure out which pieces of 
code are crashing the JVM.  We don't do anything fancy like Bytecode 
modification, so hopefully we'll be able to get a workaround soon.  If 
anybody finds any workaround with this JVM that works for them, let us know 
too.

Just wanted to keep you all posted.
