sounds like one of those tough, intermittent bugs.

can you get more info on the environment?  how full is the db connection pool when this happens?  how loaded is the OS supporting expresso/WAS?  is the db on a separate machine?  how busy is that machine?

can you build a load-test rig to reproduce?

I don't have any info on similar errors, but I don't use these containers/db's
