Thierry,
It is definitely a priority to correct bugs as quickly as possible. Bug
fixes get incorporated into CVS normally with surprising speed. And we
are making several release management improvements to faciliate more
frequent releases = maintaining the current releases with bug fixes
release (i.e. 5.01, 5.02, 5.03) while we branch to work on new features.
In fact a 5.01 release is in progress now. Merging in the bugs turned
out to be more of a problem than expected otherwise this probably would
have been out by this weekend.
Now to put it fairly I am sure you'd agree that questions are typically
answered in good time. Getting the final release out is an intensive job
(i.e. I worked to ~mid-night for weeks) - and so for the people doing
the work, afterwards can mean needing to get caught up on other tasks or
even simply needing a break.
This list is open source and community supported. It as strong as the
community participation. Lets put the shoe on the other foot. Let me ask
you - have you taken time to answer technical questions for
people/newbies on the list since you first posted in July? Open source
communities work because it is about giving and taking.
Finally if being guaranteed of a fast response is important to you then
there's always the option of buying Premium Support.
Sandra
