An event is what it says... the name of the Event is the kicker.  Now for 
each Definition, you define who gets email notifications whenever an Event 
takes place.  That's what the Event Definition does, who gets what 
definition.  There are two types of 'categories' of events.  Success and 
failures.  You specify when you trigger an event as to whether it's a 
success event or a failure event.  And again, the event definition table 
defines who gets what.

So think of it as an email notification system.

Actually, I've never really done the Performance Test system.  What Mike 
set up was you define a series of URL's that get executed.  Then for each 
iteration, those URLs are run.... somehow you can run how many simultaeous 
threads are run, etc.  That's about all I can tell you off hand.
