The doc on the Expresso Documentation page (Expresso project page >
Documentation link) has been restructured and many documents updated to
reflect the most current doc in cvs.
New documents include
- Contacts Example document and updated source: Geeta Ramani, Donald
Lobo
- Expresso Newbie doc - David Lloyd
- Extended Struts Tag usage with Expresso - Malcolm Wise
Recent updates include:
- Changelog
- Db and server specific setup notes
- Component Overview documents: myself (all docs), Tino Dai (Caching
paragraph, dbcreate, email connectivity).
- DBCreate (Tino and I)
- DBTool
- And more.....
You can see the last date a file was updated by checking the last
modified date at the end of the document.
I'll be continuing to focus on the documentation for the next week. I
would really appreciate it if folks want to review various documents for
accuracy and to make suggestions. With the revisions that have been made
and those being made to component overview documents - I expect they
will be increasingly useful to Expresso newcomers. As we move forward to
4.1.1 these component documents will include links to the Expresso
Developers Guide (EDG) where various technical details on each component
are found (and the EDG will undergo some restructuring as well). At that
time some material may move between the two. The Component document
purpose will be that as an intro and getting started with the component;
while the EDG will include details.
Also Expresso RC3 is packaged up and I will be getting that on the site
hopefully later tonight. I'm on my yacht working this week which is
limited to a land line connection so it takes awhile to do this. Will
keep y'all posted as to when they are available for download.
