[Opensource] CVS tag names??

I am not a big user of Eclipse, but more like a big ignorer of them and
their attempt to drive wedges into the Java community.

In my past I've usually used Emacs as my "IDE" or in other words have
rarely used an Integrated developer envionment.  I've finally gotten my
head around using an IDE to build GUI's, thanks to NetBeans, but the
support for CVS in NB leaves something to be desired as it was rather
obtusely non-obvious of what I could do if anything with CVS from NB.

What's the command at command-line-CVS level?  That's also rather
non-obvious from the CVS "man page", as I said the other day.
