[Opensource] CVS tag names??

First - I use Mac OS X

Bundled with it is the traditional command line cvs, I don't know which
version. Reading through the man page didn't lead to an obvious command
string to discover the available tags.

I also tried an OS X gui cvs tool (available through wincvs.com) and it's
GUI was obtuse enough to make me unable to figure out anything that I
could do with it.

I have used CVS for years - but never done much with tagging and branches.
