When you posted your message, I replied to it asking for the design docs
Sandra Cann cited in her message.  I'm still waiting this docs...   :)

In our company we are studying several Web Development Frameworks in
Java and several tools (until now we have developed using mostly Perl,
and we are migrating to Java). Expresso and NetBeans seem to be the best
choices for now, so if we chose to use them, we would like to contribute
with this integration project. We're interested in studying a little
more, so if you can send us those documents, we will be very grateful.
