Hi,
you was just in time Sandra. ;-).
Until I was creating a sourceforge project. Because that's a fast and cheep
way to get a mailing list for a open source project.
Never mind I delete it. I only try to react to the flame. ;-)
Sandra, can you provide a special mailinglist? Please!
When there is trouble to create one on the jcorporate server we can use
sourceforge or yahoo mailing lists.

But back to the portal, gui and specification theme.
I think it is very important, to make all of that hand in hand. Its
important to make autonomy projects, but each should be usefull for the
other.
Let me explain what I think:
When we think about a user interface for creating dbobjects and controller
we should do that in a standardisation way.
Why the gui should create not only dboabjects and controller than hole
components, based on a specification. (see Michaels mail)
Remember my ideas about the thin autonomy components. These components can
be use in a function-library in the visually creating tool.
Providing a set of components and a visuall tool to create own and link each
other, is big benefit for everyone.

Lets describe it like a lego game:
There is one, who think about the form of a block.
There are we, that creating the blocks and create a lego game set, for
building a portal.
And there is a tool for creating own models and blocks so everybody can
build his own model. :)
Seriously:
You will see such a "structure" provides a fast growing set of different
implementation of our portal modules.
More flexibility and tiny modules provides more freedom for the user. The
more interest from users brings more custom components.
Brings a stronger software. etc.

Please take a ride on the http://www.hyperqbs.org/ project and please take a
ride on Dragon the hyperqbs creating gui.

This illustrate good my idea but we should take it more to hole functions.

Cheers,
Stefan
