[Opensource] Multipage registration

It depends on how those pages map to DBObjects. I believe expresso does have
that ability as long as each page maps to it's own DBObject. Take a look at
the 'Registration Object Map' in the documentation and under the Security
section of Administration - I think you can just define multiple objects per
Registration Domain.
If you want to break up a single DBObject into multiple pages, that doesn't
work - DBMaint would have to be retooled. I'm not sure that makes sense,
though, as you would probably be splitting logically separate information
into different pages, which probably means that you would want different
tables anyway. Or, at least, that's what I do - it's been a while since my
last database design course...

This talks about how expresso handles multiple registrations. I am
wondering if anyone has looked into making one Expresso registration domain
span more then one page. So say on page one we ask for the login info, then
another page to is another regobject, then page 3 is another regobject and
etc.. That I don't believe Expresso can handle at the moment and I need
this functionality on my next project. If anyone has any comments or
suggestions I would appreciate.
Thanks
Kris

That functionality is built in using Registration Domains. Look at the
'Expresso User Registration and Login' document at
http://www.jcorporate.com/econtent/Content.do?state=resource
<http://www.jcorporate.com/econtent/Content.do?state=resource&resource=555>
&resource=555 .
It's easy, but not too flexible though in that all of the pages are
controlled by DBMaint. If you need something that doesn't fit into that
mold, you simply have to make your own registration conroller, as I have.

Has anyone looked into what it would take to make Expresso have the ability
to have a multi page registration instead of the single page version it has
now?
Thanks
