[Opensource] Embed Java codes in jsp pages rather than using output?

Same topic, for example, if I retrieve a list of
records using "customer" DBObject. If I pass the
DBobject to the JSP and display the customer name in a
table of 2 columns (2 records display in a single
table row), if i just use Java codes to display the
object, it is so simple. If I use Output, i have to
use the struts library to display the Output for "2
records in a single row in HTML table". I know how to
display 1 record in a single row in HTML table, but to
display 2 records, again have to research the tag
library again, so painful...
